POSITIONDevelopment Chemist II

REQUIRED: Experience with industrial liquid coatings a must!
JOB FUNCTION:  Plans, conducts and coordinates experimental work necessary to phases of a product development project or project supporting a commercialized product within given time and budget constraints through specialized technical knowledge and standard laboratory procedures.  Plans, schedules and coordinates all phases of work for a major project of moderate scope. Assists in developing project objectives and goals and in recommending new projects by applying a sound understanding of scientific principles, formulation technology, and the company's production technology.

Technical Effectiveness:  Performs independently by assisting and executing specific phases of a project, subject to direction of a senior exempt employee. Develops understanding of fundamental principles and root cause analysis. Uses these principles to design effective experiments. Identifies and utilizes internal or external resources when applicable.

Interpersonal/Personal Effectiveness/Personal Development:  Demonstrates initiative and drive through accomplished tasks. Follows through on mutually agreed upon ideas and goals. MS/3+ BS/5+ (Science / Technology Degree) A formal education or equivalent experience in either chemistry or chemical engineering is required, along with a demonstrated track record of relevant work experience.
