Job Description
  • Preventative and predictive repair programs
  • Inspections, service check-lists, works orders and repair schedules
  • Ensures that repairs are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner
  • Maintains accurate, up to date service records for each major piece of equipment.
  • Floor level support to detect, evaluate, or resolve any malfunction with production equipment
  • Improves technical processes and standards 
  • Ensure overall safety of the plant
  • Oversee integrity of the ammonia system.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the electrical systems
  • Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. Responsibilities include hiring and training employees, assigning and directing work, performance reviews,and disciplining employees
  • Lead maintenance & reliability continuous improvement plan.
  • Lead Kaizen events on equipment to improve performance
  • Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain facility/production line conditions in order to meet established GMPs/HAACP, Food Safety Regulations, and Aseptic processes.
  • Ensure processes meet or exceed government requirements under FDA, OSHA, GMP, EPA, etc.
  • Manages Maintenance Department spending
  • Collaborate with all plant functional managers to insure production needs and changes can be met
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Education:
  • Experience in aseptic processing within a food manufacturing and packaging environment
  • Strength in electronics, controls, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment. 
  • Strong PLC programming
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with installation, technical and repairs of manufacturing and packaging equipment. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. 
  • Previous experience with instilling and executing plant safety programs
  • Multi-tasking
  • Time Management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen events to identify Root Cause and Corrective Action to improve equipment and line reliability.
  • Ability to identify, create, lead, and train others in Continuous Improvement processes
